2018 New Year’s Resolutions for Nurses

Thursday, January 18, 2018

2018 is here and it’s time to set some goals for the new year!

Sure, most New Year’s resolutions don’t actually come into fruition – usually dieting and fitness are the first to go… But here are some simple ways to make your life better this year that are easy to maintain throughout the year.

Stay Positive

Did you know that complaining has been linked to worsening your mood instead of lightening the burden? It’s true. If you find yourself focusing on the negative things in your life, you’re more likely to believe it’s not going well.

It’s easy to train yourself into being more positive. Find at least one positive in every scenario and little by little it will become second nature, just like any other habit. With a positive attitude you can brighten the room and take charge of your life.

Help Others

Good news nurses, you’re already doing this one! The key here is to turn this positive energy into fuel for your self-esteem, relationships, and sense of belonging. Offer to help out a coworker, volunteer in some of your time off, find a way to reach out in your community and you’ll be happier for it.

Upgrade Your Style

Make this year the year you trade in your old, faded medical scrubs with new, quality scrub tops and pants from Sanibel Scrubs.

Whether you choose to go brighter, try a new style, or try prints, 2018 is the year to start looking your best and feeling great. So it’s out with the old and in with the new (scrubs, that is). With a bit of organizing, your messy closet will no longer hold you back.

Don’t know what to do with your old scrubs? Here are a couple ideas for turning rags into riches:

  • Cut old scrubs into squares or rectangles to use for cleaning the house
  • Donate!

Sanibel Scrubs specializes in medical scrubs, lab coats, and other medical wardrobe for both men and women. As a private label brand, we are able to offer you the best quality and best prices. We understand what you expect from your uniforms and it's our goal to provide it. View our scrubs today and Escape the Ordinary.
